The solver searches all 8 directions: left to right, right to left, top to bottom, bottom to top, and all four diagonals. Words can be hidden in any of these directions, and our algorithm checks them all simultaneously.

The most common issue is a sideways or rotated photo. OCR reads images left-to-right, so a rotated puzzle produces garbled results. Use the rotate button in the crop screen to fix the orientation before uploading. Also make sure the photo is well-lit, in focus, and cropped tightly around just the letter grid.

Start with words containing uncommon letters like Q, X, Z, or J — there are fewer of these in the grid so they're easier to spot. Group remaining words by their first letter and scan for multiple words at once. Use a systematic approach: scan row by row in one direction before moving to the next.

Double-check that the grid letters are entered correctly — a single wrong letter can prevent a match. If you uploaded a photo, verify the OCR extracted the letters accurately by comparing with your original puzzle. You can manually correct any misread letters in the grid before solving.
