Focus on Unique Letters First

by Michael

A word search is built by first placing the words into a grid in different directions, some intersecting, then filling in the empty spaces with random letters. The larger the grid and the more spread out the words the harder the word search

If your words have letters that are used less often, like Q or Z or U or F they will be easier to find. A quick scan for specific letters can help you find those words quickly. Once you find certain words, other words are more likely to be intersecting or in the empty spaces.

Look for more unique letters in each word. Your brain is good at identifying letters quickly so it can scan the grid left to right, top to bottom and locate letters quickly

Once you locate the letter you can look in each direction to see other letters in the word are found. If you find two or more letters you will usally have the correct word

Happy Solving!
